Al Farouk For Engineering Works was established in January 2001 as a leading contracting company specializing in planning, designing, and executing telecommunications networks. The company began its journey with copper cables in both primary and secondary networks, then underwent a major transformation as main cables shifted to fiber-optic cables due to the rise in copper prices and the widespread issue of cable theft.

In our continuous pursuit of innovation and alignment with modern developments, the network type has recently evolved to FTTX (Fiber to Homes and Businesses) by replacing all primary and secondary cables with fiber-optic cables to meet the growing demand for ultra-fast internet, digital government applications, smart networks, security networks, mobile towers, and all other utility networks.

Innovation in Execution Methods

We have been keen to adopt new materials and modern implementation methods instead of traditional approaches to enhance efficiency and quality. These technologies include:

Replacing PVC pipes with PE pipes, then moving to HDPE duct bundles.

Transitioning from copper cables to conventional fiber cables, and further to micro-fiber cables.

Installing underground manholes made of GRP instead of concrete manholes, or replacing only covers while keeping reinforced concrete for the manhole body where applicable.

Using cable blowing technology instead of pulling (only when using micro fiber-optic cables).

Using compact ODFs with LC-APC connectors instead of SC-APC when aligned with design standards.

Using micro-trenching instead of conventional trenching to reduce excavation volume and related waste, preserve asphalt, and meet local district requirements.
